Man arrested in Coney subway stabbing

CONEY ISLAND – POLICE ON THURSDAY night arrested an undomiciled man, Zhongqiang Chen, 32, and charged him with second-degree murder over the fatal stabbing last week of Timothy Rudolph at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue subway station. Witnesses said that Rudolph and another man had been involved in a dispute that turned into a physical fight before the other man pulled a knife and stabbed Rudolph, who fled to a train car and passed away.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
