Attempted robbery at 4th Ave-9th St

The man suspected of an attempted mugging at 4th Avenue/9th Street station.

GOWANUS – POLICE ARE SEARCHING for an unknown man who shortly after midnight on Wednesday, Nov. 6, approached a 40-year-old man on the southbound N platform of the 4th Avenue/9th Street subway station, and forcibly tried to take the victim’s cellphone. During the attempt, the victim was punched about the body multiple times; the culprit then fled on foot to parts unknown. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
