Maimonides Health will showcase new technologies in minimally-invasive robotic surgery
BOROUGH PARK —A EXHIBIT ON THE LATEST ADVANCES IN SURGICAL ROBOTICS will be open to the public next week at Maimonides Medical Center. During the event, which runs Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Thursday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., physicians and specialists will demonstrate the capabilities and precision of minimally invasive robotic surgery. Featured equipment will include biotechnology company Intuitive’s ION endoluminal system, the DaVinci Robotic Surgical System, Stryker’s Mako robotic-arm assisted surgery technology, as well as GLOBUS Medical’s ExcelsiusGPS system. These robots combine robotic and navigation technology to aid surgeons in performing complex procedures. The event takes place in the main lobby of Maimonides Health at 4802 10th Avenue.
