Community mulching: Cadman Park Conservancy calls volunteers

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — THE CADMAN PARK CONSERVANCY needs the community’s help at its upcoming Veterans Day mulching event, on Sunday, Nov. 10 – between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. – mulching, picking up waste and raking the area. Interested volunteers should go to Juneteenth Grove, between the circle planter and the athletic field.

Volunteer gardening fosters community resilience by improving green spaces, supporting local ecosystems and enhancing mental well-being through collaborative outdoor activity. Previous CPC community gardening efforts include a flower-planting event on Oct. 20 at the Brooklyn War Memorial.
