Police seek woman for assault in Bed-Stuy

The woman suspected of striking another woman with an extendable baton in Bed-Stuy.

BED-STUY – POLICE ARE SEEKING an unknown woman who, on the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 22, began a verbal dispute with another woman at Fulton Street and New York Avenue. The suspect then took out an expandable baton and began striking the other woman in the back and right ear, lacerating the ear, before fleeing on foot to parts unknown. The suspect is described as in her mid-30s, with a dark complexion and medium build, and was last seen wearing a black North Face hooded sweatshirt, black pants, gray and black sneakers, a black hat and sunglasses.
