More than one million vote early across the city
CITYWIDE – OVER ONE MILLION New Yorkers from across the five boroughs voted early this election, reports NBC News, with nearly 150,000 voting on Sunday, the last day of early voting, breaking the city record for most early votes on one day. Brooklyn was the highest performer by a wide margin, with 345,840 of the total 1,089,328 city early voters hailing from Kings County. This year’s early voting period ran from Oct. 26 to Nov. 3.
Statewide, nearly three million people voted early this year. Behind Brooklyn, Suffolk Countyites were the most avid early voters, with 289,427 participating, ahead of third-place Manhattan, with 282,533.
