WILLIAMSBURG — A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN plummeted to his death from the fire escape of a building at Bedford Avenue and South 6th Street in Williamsburg on Sunday, possibly while watching NYC Marathon runners go by, near the race’s 11-mile checkpoint, reports Patch. Emergency professionals found the man unconscious after the fall at around 12:30 p.m. He was taken to NewYork Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police are still investigating, but do not suspect foul play; according to a New York Post source, the block is typically quiet.
