AG James’ election hotline is open
STATEWIDE – STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL Letitia James on Monday reminded New Yorkers that her office is staffing an election protection hotline at (866) 390-2992 on Nov. 5 and 6. Hotline staffers can help voters troubleshoot and resolve a range of issues they may encounter when they go to cast their ballot, as well as dealing with potential instances of voter intimidation, deception and obstruction. The Attorney General’s office has operated its hotline during elections since 2012, and has helped to resolve thousands of voter complaints from across the state.
The AG’s election hotline will be open at (866) 390-2992 on Election Day, Nov. 5, from 6 a.m. when polls open to 9 p.m. when polls close; and on Nov. 6, the day after the election, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. for any outstanding issues. Complaints and requests for assistance can also be submitted online at any time at electionhotline.ag.ny.gov on the AG’s webpage.
