Police identify man shot in New Lots

NEW LOTS – POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED the victim of a deadly Saturday shooting in New Lots as local resident Aarmani Dawkins, age 29. Dawkins was discovered within the Grace Towers apartment complex, across the street from his residence, on Saturday afternoon with gunshot wounds to the neck and abdomen; he was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased.

Police say there are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
