NYPD seeks thief in East New York shooting
EAST NEW YORK — THE NYPD ASKS THE PUBLIC TO HELP TRACK DOWN an assailant who shot and robbed a man in East New York last month. The crime, which the NYPD reported on Saturday, Nov. 2, took place near McKinley Avenue and Eldert Lane in the 75th Precinct and East New York.
At around 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, an unidentified individual approached a 40-year-old male, displayed and discharged a gun, striking his victim in the back and forcibly stealing his cell phone. The assailant fled eastbound on McKinley Avenue in a gold Honda CRV. It was reported that there was no spare tire attached to the rear of this model vehicle.
First-responders and transported the victim to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center where he was reported in stable condition.
