Hochul: Trump fans ‘anti-woman, anti-American’
STATEWIDE – GOVERNOR HOCHUL, A STRIDENT supporter of Kamala Harris, on Saturday criticized New York Trump supporters on MSNBC, reports The Hill, during an 11th-hour push against upstate Republican candidates. The comments came following a widely-criticized Trump rally at Madison Square Garden last weekend during which campaign speakers targeted Puerto Ricans and other groups.
“If you’re voting for these Republicans in New York, you are voting for someone who supports Donald Trump, and you’re anti-woman, you’re anti-abortion, and basically, you’re anti-American because you have just trashed American values and what our country is about over and over and you wear this on Election Day,” the governor said on the channel’s “PoliticsNation,” tying her criticism to the Trump rally.
Hochul last week visited Brooklyn during the launch of an election integrity campaign with state AG Letitia Jones; at the Brooklyn Democratic Party’s Monday gala, she spoke in favor of Harris, and urged supporters to turn up for down-ballot candidates as well.
