The Atlantic Antic happens rain or shine every year. Sunday, Sept. 29, was no exception. After a soggy start, Brooklynites strolled the avenue from Hicks Street to Fourth Avenue. The Antic has something for everyone.

Live performances, a vibrant Kids Zone and Playtopia, eclectic shops and vendors and cuisine of every flavor reflected the diversity of our beloved borough. Next year marks the 50th annual Atlantic Antic. Let’s hope it’s a sunny day!

Howard Kolis is Antic's producer and exec. dir. of the Atlantic Antic Local Development Corp. The street fair is rain or shine. When it rains “we all rally around and try to make it work…the weather report said it would be over by noon, it went to 1:15. So now, a lot of people have come out. If it were a sunny day, it’d be packed and that’s what we wanna have. So I want to thank all the vendors who toughed it out…next year will be our 50th year.” Photo by Beth Eisgrau-Heller
