The annual Brooklyn Book Festival — the largest free literary festival in New York — proceeded despite the rain on Sunday, adapting by moving the Main Stage inside to Brooklyn Borough Hall, and the North Stage to the Brooklyn Heights Library.

Besides Festival Day on Sunday, related events unfolded at other locations across Brooklyn all week, including Children’s Day on the Commons at MetroTech on Saturday and numerous “Bookend” events — readings, story hours and performances — at venues across the city.
