Brooklyn DA hosts Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at City Tech

Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez hosted a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Tuesday at the New York City College of Technology in Downtown Brooklyn. The event, themed “Nuestra Voz, Nuestro Poder” (“Our Voice, Our Power”), featured performances by the Drums and Bugles International Band Association and the Ayazamana Dance Group.
Nadia Galindo of News12 served as the mistress of ceremonies. District Attorney Gonzalez welcomed attendees, followed by remarks from U.S. Rep. Adriano Espaillat. Awards were presented to the Latino Victory Foundation, the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations Inc. and the NALEO Educational Fund.
The event concluded with closing remarks from a representative of the Eric Gonzalez Latino Alliance for Justice.
