More bones found in BBP: Police return for 4th time

DUMBO — POLICE ON THURSDAY returned to Brooklyn Bridge Park for the fourth time to hunt for human remains in the waterfront rocks near Jane’s Carousel, reports News 12. Police told the news channel on Saturday that bone fragments had been recovered during the search. The grisly discoveries began on Aug. 19, when a Parks Department employee initially reported finding several bones and a human skull, with additional searches turning up more human remains, including a femur and a possible rib cage. Police have not identified the body parts and have not confirmed whether the separate discoveries are related or whether the bones come from the same body.

The investigation is reportedly ongoing.
