Top Adams aide subpoenaed as her plane lands JFK Airport
NEW YORK CITY — LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS REMOVED MATERIALS from the home of top Adams advisor Ingrid Lewis Martin in East Flatbush, reports New York 1 News, which broke the news on Friday afternoon, and other news sources.
New York attorney Courtney Gross reported on the scene that Lewis-Martin was not home at the time that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s staff arrived. Federal investigators served her with the subpoena papers upon her flight’s landing at JFK Airport on Friday.
Lewis-Martin “will cooperate fully with any and all investigations and Ms. Lewis is not the target of any case of which we are aware,” her attorney, Arthur Aidala, said in a statement to NBC and Spectrum New York1. Federal authorities are seeking documents and testimony from her, the news sources
Lewis-Martin had previously served on Adams’ staff when he was Brooklyn Borough President. The two are considered longtime friends The subpoena was delivered a day after an indictment was unsealed charging Adams with wire fraud, bribery and other forms of corruption involving international contacts.
