GRACIE MANSION AND MANHATTAN FEDERAL COURT — The federal indictment against Mayor Eric Adams will be unsealed at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, at which time the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (federal court in Manhattan) will announce “significant public corruption charges,” Spectrum NY1 news announced at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.

The announcement follows Wednesday night’s indictment and the encampment of federal authorities at Gracie Mansion, the official mayoral residence. Adams, who was Brooklyn Borough President before his 2021 election to the city’s top post, becomes the first mayor in NYC history to be indicted while still in office.

Federal authorities seized Mayor Adams’ phone early Thursday morning, several news sources reported.
