Police seek thief who rode off with electric wheelchair

CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are searching for the thief who stole an electric wheelchair from outside of a Crown Heights building on Sunday, Sept. 1, as shown on surveillance footage obtained by NYPD. 

Police received a report that at around 1:30 p.m., an unknown individual removed an electric wheelchair that was parked on the sidewalk near 234 Troy Avenue. The thief fled westbound on Sterling Place, aboard the wheelchair. No injuries or contact with the wheelchair’s owner or other persons were reported.
