Brooklyn NYPD School Safety Agent arrested for raping a child
CROWN HEIGHTS — OFF DUTY NYPD SCHOOL SAFETY AGENT Brian Frett, 39, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 25, around 6:15 a.m. and charged with two counts of rape and two counts of sexual misconduct, along with forcible touching, endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 17, unlawful imprisonment and sexual abuse, police said.
Frett was arrested within the 77th Precinct, which includes Crown Heights. According to court records, the alleged crimes took place in February 2020. Frett appeared before Criminal Court Judge Miria Cyrulnik on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors asked for bail, but he was released with “non-monetary conditions.” His next appearance will be before Judge Donald Leo on Oct. 25.
According to an earlier police report, Frett was previously arrested in May within the 81st Precinct and charged with assault.
