Perp who pushed woman to tracks in Bushwick is arrested at other end of Brooklyn

CONEY ISLAND/BUSHWICK — POLICE ARRESTED THE ASSAILANT who shoved a 62-year-old woman to the subway tracks at the Jefferson St. northbound L train platform on Thursday, Sept. 19 before straphangers came to her rescue in time. Shadrach Ford, 30, of Uniondale is in custody and charged with 10 counts of attempted murder, attempted criminally-negligent homicide, assault, harassment and criminal trespassing. The incident took place within the 83rd Precinct in Bushwick. Ford was arrested the next morning, Sept. 20, near the Coney Island/Stillwell Ave. station, Transit District 34, within the 60th Precinct.

The victim was treated Thursday at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center for injuries to her face from being punched, as well as to her ankle and elbow.
