BATH BEACH — ELEVATOR REPAIRS IN A BAY PARKWAY APARTMENT BUILDING THAT WERE LEFT UNDONE for almost a month were completed in a timely manner, City Councilmember Susan Zhuang (D-43) announced on Friday, Sept. 20. The crucial repair comes after nearly a month of serious inconvenience for the residents of 8750 Bay Parkway, many of whom are senior citizens.

Notified a week ago, Zhuang’s office is credited with taking immediate action, particularly because many of the residents have mobility challenges, one of whom is a 100-year-old Holocaust survivor. Zhuang’s team reached out to the Department of Buildings and helped get the repairs done. She reports that the lift is again fully operational.

Zhuang said that the expedited repair job “is a testament to our ongoing commitment to serving the community’s needs,” and she thanked everyone who helped safeguard their neighbors.
