NATIONWIDE — THE FBI AND the U.S. Postal Inspection Service on Tuesday were investigating suspicious packages sent to elections officials in more than 15 states — and this is not the first time this happened, according to Associated Press. There were no immediate reports of injuries. The latest packages were sent to elections officials in Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Rhode Island, Mississippi and Connecticut. Some of the packages contained “an unknown substance,” FBI spokesperson Kristen Setera in Boston said in a statement.

“An envelope containing a white powdery substance was sent to the state Board of Elections office in Albany today,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said Tuesday via X.
