CITY HALL — FOLLOWING THE ARRESTS of two former FDNY chiefs on Monday, the City Council’s Committee on Fire and Emergency Management will hold an oversight hearing Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. on the Fire Department’s search, rescue and fire investigation procedures. Anthony Saccavino and Brian Cordasco, top officials with FDNY’s Bureau of Fire Prevention services, were charged with bribery, corruption and false statements offenses for allegedly fast-tracking dozens of projects in exchange for tens of thousands of dollars in bribe payments, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

The hearing will be livestreamed at the City Council’s website.
