Back to School Party on Montague Street this Sunday

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — A back to school celebration plans to take place on Montague Street on Sunday, Sept. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. Roughly 40 free kids activities and performances will include games, arts & crafts, soccer, bubble shows, face painting, kids fitness classes, obstacle course, DJ and more. Live performances will include a kids concert by Hoppalong Andrew and a dance party by Hype Dance. Books Are Magic and Brooklyn Book Bodega are doing a Back-to-School Book Drive from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 122 Montague St. during the event.

Brooklyn Bridge Parents, Mommy Poppins and Community Offshore Wind are sponsoring the party during Open Streets on Montague, a project of the Montague Street BID, Brooklyn Heights Association and NYC DOT. Open Streets on Montague will take place every Sunday from Sept. 15 through Oct. 27.
