EAST FLATBUSH — PERMITS HAVE BEEN FILED FOR A FOUR-STORY MIXED-USE BUILDING at 703 Midwood Street in East Flatbush. The project, led by 703 Midwood LLC, will rise 60 feet and include 19,273 square feet of space, largely dedicated to community facilities. The design also allows for one residential unit, with no parking included. Garfinkel Architects, which serves the Orthodox Jewish communities, is the architect of record, though demolition permits are still pending.

Located a few blocks from the Crown Heights-Utica Avenue subway station, which serves the 3 and 4 train lines, the project is part of ongoing development efforts in East Flatbush. It is not in a flood zone, according to Department of Buildings data for that address.
