CB7 hearing on proposed Arrow Linen rezoning tonight in Park Slope
SOUTH SLOPE — BROOKLYN COMMUNITY BOARD 7 will hold a public meeting on the proposed Arrow Linen rezoning tonight (Monday, Sept. 9), from 6:30-9 p.m. at Holy Name Church-Shepherd’s Hall, 245 Prospect Park West. The controversial rezoning would allow the owners of 441 and 467 Prospect Ave., currently the site of the Arrow Linen Co. and zoned for three-story buildings, to build two 13-story market-rate residential towers — or possibly two 19-story towers, if the City Of Yes Housing Opportunity is also approved in ULURP. The group Housing Not Highrises, which is pushing for affordable housing on the site, opposes the rezoning, and last Wednesday Kings County Supreme Court Judge Hon. Lisa Ottley issued a temporary restraining order in response to their petition.
The meeting will also be streamed live on Community Board 7’s YouTube Channel. The public hearing will continue virtually on Thursday, Sept. 12. Register on Zoom to participate.
