Faith communities gather for 9/11 services

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — AS THEY HAVE SINCE THE DAY OF THE 9/11 ATTACKS, the Brooklyn Heights clergy and community members will gather on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade to pray and reflect. The Brooklyn Heights Interfaith Clergy Association will host its annual 9/11 Observance on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 7:15 p.m., with readings, prayers, music remarks and candle lighting. The rain location is the St. Ann’s Parish Hall, on Montague St., just west of Clinton St., according to announcements from Grace Church and The Pro Cathedral of St. Ann & the Holy Trinity.

Other organizations are also holding Sept. 11 memorial services, including a noon Mass at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, in Prospect Heights, members of FDNY Battalion 57, which lost 23 of its members on Sept. 11, 2001, will participate.
