Man punched in head while waiting for train in Downtown Brooklyn

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN was punched in the head by an unknown assailant while standing on the northbound platform at the Nevins Street subway station at Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn at around 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29. Police said the attacker got into a verbal dispute with the victim and hit him in the back of the head with a closed fist, causing pain and swelling to the victim’s head and neck. The suspect, shown in a surveillance photo with a beard and wearing a white hoodie with the word “Scarface” on the front, fled on an incoming northbound train. The victim was taken by EMS to NYU Langone Health Cobble Hill for treatment of minor injuries.
