Two off-duty NYPD police officers arrested early Wednesday
EAST MIDWOOD/HUNTS POINT — TWO OFF-DUTY POLICE OFFICERS, one in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx, were arrested Wednesday morning for various offenses. Darleen Barbier, 37, was arrested at 3 a.m. and charged with assault and criminal mischief within the 63rd Precinct, which includes the East Midwood and Flatlands areas. According to 50-a.org, a website of NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board and NYPD data, Barbier, a female officer, joined the NYPD in 2009.
Another off-duty NYPD police officer was arrested at 1:47 a.m., police said. Xiomara Goodsell, 32, was charged with DWI and refusal to take a blood test within the 41st Precinct, which includes the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. According to PIX11, she crashed into a parked car, had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. She has been an officer since 2017.
