BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK — MORE BONE FRAGMENTS were found along the shore in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday, Aug. 31. This discovery is the third time in the past two weeks bones were found along the rocky shoreline near the Empire Stores and Jane’s Carousel. Police said they received a 911 call around 7 p.m. that “possible human remains” had been found in the vicinity of 10 Dock Street. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner was notified and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.

According to PIX11, the bones — found by a woman who was intentionally looking for them —  resembled part of a spine.
