GREENPOINT — THE KINGSLAND, A WELL-KNOWN METAL AND HARDCORE MUSIC VENUE, on Norman Avenue, has reportedly hosted its last show and closed its doors for good as of Aug. 31, according to Ghostcultmag. While there has not yet been an official confirmation, numerous sources close to the venue and those in the music scene have shared on social media that The Kingsland is no longer in operation, at least at its current location. This news comes just weeks after the closure of another iconic venue, Saint Vitus Bar. The Kingsland hosted countless international and local metal, hardcore, and other music artists, and served as a community hub for live music and events.

The Kingsland Presents, the team behind the venue, will continue to host shows at their other venues, The Brooklyn Monarch and The Meadows, as well as other locations in New York.
