Construction nearing end on South Williamsburg Tower
WILLIAMSBURG — CONSTRUCTION ON 316 RUTLEDGE STREET, A NINE-STORY building in South Williamsburg, is nearing completion, according to YIMBY. The 110-foot-tall structure, designed by Jay Architect & Engineering and developed by Abe Brach, will span 42,225 square feet. It includes 25,113 square feet for community facilities, 17,112 square feet for commercial space, and 47 enclosed parking spaces. The building, located between Broadway and Harrison Avenue, is expected to top out by the end of September 2024. Recent images show the concrete superstructure progressing, with final floor plates, columns, and walls being poured. Lower levels are being enclosed with metal frame studs and insulation boards.
The site was previously occupied by a dilapidated garage which was demolished to make way for this development. A finalized rendering of the building has not been released, but it is expected to feature floor-to-ceiling windows and a fourth-floor terrace.
