CYPRESS HILLS — “BATMAN” WENT BAD on Sunday night when an assailant wearing a mask depicting the popular superhero shot a 37-year-old man in Cypress Hills (eastern Brooklyn) on Sunday, Sept. 1, around 11:20 p.m. while the victim was smoking outside his car. PIX11 TV reported that the victim was shot in the right leg but managed to run into a nearby bodega to get help. The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

As of press time Monday, Sept. 2, the suspect is still at large, and police have yet to provide further details. Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit tips online.
