Beloved Giovanni’s Brooklyn Eats opens in Park Slope

PARK SLOPE — GIOVANNI’S BROOKLYN EATS, A POPULAR ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN PARK SLOPE, has fired up the ovens after a 12-month break due to a fire. The eatery, now located at 1666 Eighth Ave., has been completely rebuilt, and owner Giovanni Tafuri expressed gratitude for the community’s support during the closure. “Every time the door opened, there was another regular customer. It was just incredible,” Tafuri told Brooklyn Paper. The Grand Reopening was announced on Giovanni’s website as taking place last Thursday, Aug. 22, with loyal customers who had missed its presence celebrating the restaurant’s authentic Italian cuisine from the restaurant that originally opened its doors in 2011.

The reopening was celebrated by loyal customers who missed Giovanni’s, and it is now welcoming diners and accepting reservations online.
