Open house at Downtown Brooklyn’s new public Montessori school on Wednesday

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — THERE MAY STILL BE some Kindergarten spots available at Albee Square Montessori (P.S. 482), New York City’s only public Montessori school, Brooklyn Bridge Parents reports. The school has enrolled pre-K and Kindergarten students for fall 2024, and will grow one grade per year up to fifth Grade. P.S. 482 comprises six floors of One Willoughby Square, a new high rise building in Downtown Brooklyn, adjacent to Abolitionist Place. Students will use the new public park space daily, as well as a rooftop play space.

The in-person open house takes place Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m.
