Man followed woman into her building near Prospect Park and strangled her

PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS — SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWS a man following a 25-year-old woman into her Brooklyn building in the vicinity of Ocean and Parkside avenues, near Prospect Park, and then strangling her from behind as she checked her mailbox. Police say the victim began to scream “Stop!” and “Help!” and that is when the attacker told her to “Shut up,” and let her go before fleeing. The woman refused medical attention. The suspect is described as having a dark complexion.
