CBS News chopper helps police find missing Brooklyn child
MIDWOOD — HELICOPTERS BUZZING OVERHEAD can be annoying — but sometimes they help save the day. A child who had been reported missing in Brooklyn Thursday was found with the help of CBS New York’s Chopper 2, the station reports. NYPD said a 9-year-old Midwood boy went missing at around 7 a.m. after heading off to school. Police provided a description of the child, which was passed on to CBS News. When the station sent Chopper 2 to the area, reporter Dan Rice spotted a child fitting the description on the rooftop of the family’s building. Rice noticed that the child “was wearing everything that’s in the description,” he said.
Cops gave the chopper a big thumbs up as they escorted the child back to his parents. Full story and video online.
