Brooklyn school crossing guard arrested, charged with robbery, gang assault
EAST FLATBUSH — AN OFF-DUTY SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD was arrested on Wednesday and charged with robbery, gang assault and assault, police said. Meagan Hubbard, 31, an NYPD school crossing guard, was arrested in the confines of the 67th Precinct, which includes East Flatbush and Remsen Village. NYPD school crossing guards, who work part-time and earn $18 an hour, must undergo drug screening and pass a character/background investigation before being hired.
Public schools kick off Sept. 5.
