Police say woman found in Highland Park was murdered

CYPRESS HILLS — A DECEASED WOMAN found in Highland Park at roughly 5:23 p.m. on July 5 has been deemed a victim of homicide by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, police said Wednesday. Brownsville resident Marie Lydia Ramos, 46, was found dead inside the park near Highland Blvd. and Vermont Place by police responding to a 911 call.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
