Skull and bones discovered near Jane’s Carousel

DUMBO — A Parks Department employee discovered parts of a human skeleton, including a skull, on the waterfront rocks near Jane’s Carousel in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Monday morning, reports the New York Post. Sources told the Post that police also discovered fragments of clothing, as well as a pair of boots, nearby the bones. Officers are investigating the incident and are searching the park for further remains.

Police also on Sunday discovered and retrieved a man’s corpse from the waters near Red Hook’s Pier 12. Efforts to determine the man’s identity are ongoing.
