Man killed in motorcycle collision
BROWNSVILLE — A 25-YEAR-OLD NEW Jersey man, identified by police as Latrell Bailey, has been arrested and charged with the aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle over a Wednesday night crash that led to the death of motorcyclist Carlos Rosa, 65, at Putnam Avenue and Bushwick Avenue. According to police, on the night of Aug. 14, Bailey was operating a 2019 Grand Cherokee that collided with Rosa’s 2023 Fly Wing Motorcycle at the intersection of Putnam and Bushwick avenues, throwing Rosa to the ground. EMS transported him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Bailey remained at the scene. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
