Smoke from Canadian wildfires is affecting New York
STATEWIDE — SMOKE FROM CANADIAN WILDFIRES has been making the air hazy on the East Coast, and Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday warned residents and visitors to Upper Hudson Valley and Adirondack regions that Air Quality Index (AQI) levels were expected to reach ‘unhealthy for sensitive groups,’ with an air quality health advisory for Fine Particulate Matter on Friday, with extended forecasts dependent on rain.
