Councilmember Brannan sponsors pet adoption event

CONEY ISLAND — A pet adoption event that City Councilmember Justin Brannan (D-47) is sponsoring takes place in Coney Island this Sunday, Aug. 18. NYC Animal Care and Control will run the event, taking place at 1904 Surf Avenue (Maimonides Park’s plaza). Prospective adoptees are encouraged to bring fully-charged phones in order to complete the paper-free, digital applications. Visit https://www.nycacc.org/adoption/events for more information.

Brooklynites can also take part in another adoption event, on Sunday, Aug. 25, noon to 4 p.m. at Heart of Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital, 764 Flatbush Ave., two blocks SE of the Parkside Avenue entrance to Prospect Park. Both events are first-come, first-serve.
