Erica Prosper to lead Latino Court Officers Society: Induction ceremony set for Sept. 19
The Latino Court Officers Society will host a special event on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 60 Centre St. in Manhattan, celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and inducting its new officers.
The event, titled “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together,” will begin at 6 p.m. with a reception, followed by the induction ceremony.
During the ceremony, Erica Prosper will be installed as the society’s new president. The incoming officers include Kevin Duque as first vice president, Jessica Herrera as second vice president, Jessica Hernandez as treasurer, Sharifa John as secretary, Lissette Morales as financial secretary, and Carmelo Correa as recording secretary. The swearing-in will be conducted by Hon. Carmen Pacheco and Hon. Betty Lugo-Martinez.
The evening will be rich in Latino heritage, featuring music, dance and culinary delights as the society celebrates its new leadership and its ongoing commitment to its mission. The Latino Court Officers Society is a fraternal organization dedicated to uniting employees of the Unified Court System in the pursuit of mutual development and common interests.
It upholds the ideals of fellowship, service, professionalism and integrity among its members while also advocating for their advancement within the Unified Court System.
The society is devoted to laboring within the community and giving back to those in need. It stands as a voice against unfair treatment, including discriminatory practices, and is dedicated to ensuring that all members have the opportunity to develop their careers and pursue happiness.
