RED HOOK/COLUMBIA STREET WATERFRONT — NYC ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORP AND WXY Studio are presenting a webinar tonight, Monday, Aug. 12, at 6:30 p.m. on the Brooklyn Marine Terminal waterfront redevelopment project, a significant initiative that will shape the future of the western Brooklyn waterfront. EDC and WXY intend to provide an overview of the project and the community engagement process. In May, Mayor Eric Adams, along with Gov. Kathy Hochul, EDC and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced an agreement giving the city operational control of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal — encompassing 120-plus acres of waterfront in Red Hook and the Columbia Street Waterfront District, including the existing Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.

The organizations say the goal is to develop a roadmap for a modern maritime port focused on blue highways, freight and micro-mobility strategies, with possible housing and community amenities. Register online.
