State Sen. Parker mulls a run for Brooklyn BP
BOROUGHWIDE — STATE SEN. KEVIN PARKER (D-21) filed a city committee on Wednesday to run for Brooklyn Borough President in 2025, Politico Playbook reports. “I’m looking at it. It’s a political eternity between now and the primary,” he told Playbook. “At this moment, I have no intention to challenge the borough president if he runs, but that may change.” Reynoso responded that everyone’s got a right to run and he’s “proud of his record.”
Parker is close with Brooklyn Democratic Party Leader Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn, while Reynoso belongs to the borough’s progressive opposition, Politico says.
