CROWN HEIGHTS — A JEWISH MAN was stabbed in the early hours of Saturday near the headquarters of the Chabad-Lubavitch sect in Crown Heights, reports the New York Post. Victim Yechiel Dabrowskin was slashed in the stomach and is recovering. Sources told the Post that the alleged attacker, identified by police as Vincent Sumpter, 22, had been harassing children and teenagers outside of a synagogue at around 2 a.m. Dabrowskin, who is from Israel, told Israeli news channel Kan 11 that he left a meal inside the building to confront Sumpter, who allegedly said “Free Palestine,” and “Do you want to die?” then struck at him with a knife before being tackled to the ground by Dabrowskim and other onlookers.

A video shared on X (Twitter) of the fight shows Sumpter appearing to lunge towards a group of Jewish men, who back away before the clip ends. He has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
