Man slashed in Prospect Park during robbery attempt
PROSPECT PARK — POLICE HAVE RELEASED a sketch of a suspect wanted for slashing a 27-year-old man with a box cutter after he refused to hand over his wallet. According to police, the victim was walking in Prospect Park on Saturday, July 27, at roughly 6:10 p.m. when the unidentified individual approached and demanded his wallet. When the victim refused, the would-be robber pulled out the box cutter and slashed the man in his thigh, causing a minor injury. The attacker then fled empty-handed to parts unknown.
