NEW JERSEY/LOWER MANHATTAN — MORE THAN 300 military veterans, first responders and civilian swimmers will plunge into the Hudson River for the New York City SEAL Swim to support the Navy SEAL Foundation on Saturday, Aug. 10. The swim is part of a 3.5-mile multi-sport event that begins at the Empty Sky Memorial in Liberty State Park in New Jersey and finishes in lower Manhattan with a patriotic run to the World Trade Center. The course also includes a pushup and pull-up competition against the backdrop of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and a dramatic run.

Participants will exit the Hudson River at South Cove Park in Battery Park City, where they will receive American Flags and run to the World Trade Center in honor of those who lost their lives on 9/11, in the Extortion 17 attack in Afghanistan and all who serve the country.
