NATIONWIDE — REP. DAN GOLDMAN (D-10) on Tuesday joined three dozen other elected officials on the “Stop Project 2025 Task Force” in sending a letter to Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation, requesting that he come before Congress to discuss the infamous Project 2025 and release its undisclosed “180-Day Playbook” section. In a release, Goldman describes Project 2025 as a far-right, 900-plus page policy blueprint that aims to monopolize power for a Republican president, transform reproductive freedoms, public education, the economy, LGBTQIA+ rights and more. The secret 180-Day Playbook section describes “immediate executive orders, emergency declarations” and other measures that are likely to have “profound impacts” on the American people, Goldman warned. 

“Allow the American people to see it and scrutinize it. Allow members of Congress to see it,” Goldman wrote. Donald Trump has recently been backing away from Project 2025, claiming he doesn’t know who is behind the controversial scheme, but at least 140 people who worked in the Trump administration had a hand in the plan, a CNN review found.
